Explanation Writing Test

This week we did an Explanation Writing Test. We had to do it on the environment. I did mine on rubbish. Our writing hasn't been marked yet, but I hope I get a good score. Next time something I could do better is choose a thing to write about that has way more things you could do to improve the planet.

Prompt: - - Write to describe one environmental problem and explain what people do to reduce its impact on the planet.

Title: Environmental Problem: Intro: A problem is something that is bad in some way and needs to be fixed or improved. Environmental is relating to the natural around a human or an animal. One problem is having too much rubbish. Rubbish is something that cannot be recycled or reused. I am going to tell you three ways to improve this problem. Paragraph 1: One thing you can do is pack your school or work lunches with recyclable plastic and paper bags. Paper bags and recyclable plastic is good because it doesn’t have to go into landfill. Landfill is all our plastic that cannot be recycled or reused, buried underground. Paper bags break down when they get wet, so if they go into the ocean it will not be a problem. Recyclable plastic can get made into new thing or can get reused. Paragraph 2: Another thing you could do is not by packaged stuff at the supermarket. You should just make your own, because that will not have packaging on it. Plus, homemade food is always heither. Paragraph 3: One last thing you could do is burn your rubbish because then it doesn’t have to go into landfill. Burning your rubbish could be kind of good because then we would have no landfill. Conclusion: So, I hope you have learnt something from this piece of writing. Follow my three solutions I have given you and pick up a piece of rubbish if you see it on the beach because we can change the WORLD!!
