Similes and Metaphors

This week we did some more work on similes. We had to make at least three similes and three metaphor. Here is my work:

This week we have been working on similes and we had to make a google drawing and pick a picture. Then we had to write some similes about the picture and make a sentence about the picture. I chose a bat for my picture and my sentence was "what is a bat?" Here is my work:

Shadow Art 2018

Last week we finished our shadow art that we started the week before, I really like my art. I do not think it looks much like me but it is still great and artistic. First we had to make a person on a white board and then Mrs Henderson took a picture and she printed them out. When they were printed out we had to color them in and then cut them out with a sheet of black paper behind it. the we stuck it on to a colored bit of paper so it looked like a shadow and then we cut out little squares and we stuck them on the sides to make a boarder.  Here is my art:

Reading poetry lesson No.5

Today I was working on similes and we had to highlight  comparative adjectives in orange, a the adjectives which suit both nouns in yellow,  verb phrases which both nouns can do in green and nouns which are being compared, blue. Next to the piece of poetry we had to write what kind of similes were in it by writing L for like similes and A for as similes and T for than similes. Here is my work:

Swimming Term 1 2018

This year we have been practicing streamlining our arms and legs. We  have also been practicing our breathing skills. I am good at doing butterfly and backstroke. I can swim a length of our pool. We also had Swim Safe to teach us survival skills.

Today we made a graph about the temperature through the days of the week.
 My graph shows that the hottest day of the week was Friday and the coldest day of the week was Thursday.
