Pear Deck

Kia ora,
We have been using Pear Deck to help us learn more about sentence structure so that we can get better at noticing where one sentence ends and another one begins. This should also help us get better scores for punctuation. This a screenshot of an activity we did: first we had to highlight the noun and verb parts of the sentences and then we had to decide where the full stops and capital letters should go. 

Ohaeawai School Ski Trip 2018!

Kia Ora Bloggers,
The Ski Trip is in 4 weeks. It is getting so close, I CAN'T WAIT!!!! We are going to spend a week at Tongariro National Park. We will be Skiing, Trout fishing and more. We have been doing lots of fundraising and definitely deserve it.

Yay, Term 3 has finally started. We did a test on the first and second day of Term 3. I did well on both tests I think. I can't wait to go on the ski trip. We are going to go to Tongariro National Park. I can't wait! In 32 days we are going. All 56 kids in Team Moana are going. We will be skiing, trout fishing, having fun and more.

This week on Thursday the WHOLE of Ohaeawai school got put into groups. I got put in the gardening group with Mrs B. There was a special art lady that came to our school and if you got put in her group you had to pay $5 to do the art with her. In the art group with the art lady they made dolls. In another group they made kites. In the gardening group we had to do up a garden next to our bike shed. Next we had to do up a garden behind the new toilets. Next we picked a bag of oranges and lemons, but I got two backs because a girl called Cerys gave hers to me.
