This week we did some poems about our grandparent. I did one about my Granny. We did this because Greats And Grands Day is coming up. Greats And Grands Day is on Friday 19th of October 2018. Here is my Poem:

Losing Sight Writing

Kia Ora Bloggers,
This week we did some writing about what could cause grandparents problem when they are getting old. I did mine on losing sight. Here is my writing:

Beginning	Title Copy your explanation title here.	How Grandparents Lose Sight.
	1st paragraph Define and describe what you are explaining.	A grandparent is a person who is old enough for their baby to have a baby. When people start to get old different parts of their bodies start to get worn out and they can no longer do what they could do before. This is called aging and it causes many problems. One aging problem that a grandparent could lose their sight.

Middle	2nd paragraph Write about one thing you can do to cope with hearing loss.	One thing that a grandparent can do as their sight deteriorates is to make sure they don’t crash into anything.They need to makes sure that the house is tidy and things are in the same places so there is nothing to trip over on the floor.
	3rd paragraph Write about a second thing you can do to cope with hearing loss.	A second thing they can do is to have regular eye check ups, they may need to get stronger glasses. They could even get contact lenses because then when they put their glasses down they might lose them..
	4th paragraph Write about a third thing you can do to cope with hearing loss	A third thing that a grandparent could do is to go to a retirement village where other people are  there to guide them around the place.
End	5th paragraph Wind up your writing.	Losing sight can be a difficult aging problem for grandparents to deal with but people are hopeful that improvements in technology will be  a big help for this in the future.

Pear Deck

This week we did some more Pear Deck. This week on Pear Deck we were learning about how a grandparent could cope with problems that happen when you get old. We were learning about that because Greats And Grands Day is coming up. Greats And Grands Day is on Friday 19th of October 2018. Greats And Grands Day is when you bring your grandparents and you can show them around the classrooms and you can show them your work. Last year at Greats And Grands Day 2017 we did a hip hop routine. I liked this Pear Deck activity. Here are some pictures:

The Holidays, YAY!!!

It's the end of the term, YAY!!!!
I am so excited to see what happens to me for the rest of the holidays and I can't wait to get back to school next term!!!

Pear Deck

Kia Ora Bloggers,
For the last few week we have been doing more Pear Deck. We were learning how to write a formal thank you letter. We started first with what we think formal means and what I thought formal ment was using polite word and writing a letter that would mean something to the person you are writing to. Then we started seeing the order of how a formal thank you letter works. You have your address first and then you have the date and the address of the person you are writing to and then you have to/dear after that you write the main point of you letter and last, the ending, Yours sincerely.
