This week we read an article about New Zealand's Christmas. Then the teacher showed us some links to articles about different countries Christmas's. There was three options. England, Mexico and Sweden. I chose England to compare with New Zealand. Here is my Venn Diagram:

Here are the results of my Star Reading test. At the beginning of the year I scored  41/50.

This week I scored 36/50. My score means I did average.

Next year I need to work on is Word Recognition.   

PAT Reading Test

This week we had a PAT reading test. I am on stanine 5 and am working at standard. I got 26/35. 

I think I could have done better in my reading test.

Reading poetry lesson No.5

Kia Ora

Today I was working on similes and we had to highlight  comparative adjectives in orange, a the adjectives which suit both nouns in yellow,  verb phrases which both nouns can do in green and nouns which are being compared, blue. Next to the piece of poetry we had to write what kind of similes were in it by writing L for like similes and A for as similes and T for than similes. Here is my work:
